Spotlight on Honda

Welcome to the Honda spotlight – an area where we can showcase the best parts from the most famous tuning houses in Japan, and uncover all those hidden jems from the famous rising sun underground scene. We will use this space to showcase selected cars and give you the opportunity to submit your car for a showcase spot each month – all you need to do is email an image of your car to matt@eu.tougedistribution.com with a break down of all your mods. Cars need to be visually impressive but we want to know about performance – so make sure you tell us all the stats.

Mugen

Undisputedly the most popular tuner of the New FN2 and world renowned for its racing heritage in Formula 1, Mugen needs no introduction. Mugen provide a wide range of parts covering everything from Aero to Suspension, to engine dress up. There is something for everybody. For most people bragging rights come from the instantly recognisable monster of a rear wing for the FN2, but others prefer the subtle OEM look of the assist meters.

J’s Racing

Another well known Tuning house, J’s Racing is well respected for their work on the S2000 and FIT in Japan are a good place to go for marked improvements in performance and aerodynamics. Their cars are instantly recognisable by their bright colours adorned with wild vinyl designs. Problems with the Directors caused panic in the company earlier in the year, but since resolving these issues the company is going as  strong as ever. They provide similar product lines to Mugen, but their bright coloured tow hooks prove very popular, and their aero kit for the S2000 is in the dreams of many! Their blue tipped exhaust are also hugely popular for an aggresive tone and sick look.

Spoon

Another brand in no need of introduction. Well known worldwide with the odd reference in the Fast and Furious films and easily recognisable with its 2 tone blue and yellow paint scheme, Spoon is one of the top names in the tuning scene. It likes to make its bright colours avaialble to everyone in the form of their lightweight wheels, available in either of the two instantly recognisable schemes. They are always working hard to get the most from the tuner friendly honda engines, and always have been. Whether its light weight wheels, their power friendly N1 exhausts or their highly effective brakes, Spoon are a great place to go.

Seeker

One of the not so well known, but equally impressive tuners is Seeker. A small outfit, comprising of 2 guys committed to getting the most out of hondas, Seeker has seen a lot of success. Their parts are sometimes criticised for being too pricey, but are always of utmost quality. They are all made with affection, not thrown down a mass production line. This keeps their parts rare and often viewed as ultra JDM. The fin they produce for the euro spec FN2 spoiler is highly sought after and their weighted gear-knob is another must have. All in, if you want to support the underdog then Seeker is the brand for you!
